Katie works with clients whose challenges stem from anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and obstacles related to their family of origin. Katie has a passion for perinatal mental health and takes special care in supporting those TTC, throughout pregnancy and their postpartum journey.
It is important to Katie that the therapeutic space feels safe and inviting. Katie will work to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships with her clients, assist them in increasing their understanding and awareness of presenting challenges, and establish goals to work towards in therapy. Katie takes a collaborative, client-centered approach, and integrates modalities in treatment that best suit the individual and promote positive, sustainable change. When working with children, Katie uses elements of play therapy and creative outlets to better facilitate emotional expression and communication at their developmental level.
